I’ve been looking for a way to give back to the cycling community of my town that I love so much for many years, and it’s finally coming together in the form of Bend Bike Rides: a site for the community to see and report trail conditions, gather on group rides, and more.

This project has been a fun journey of diving into Geographic Information Systems (GIS), postgis, and optimizing mapping libraries to make something incredibly complex not just simple, but fast. I’m really proud of how the site has come together and am looking forward to continuing to add more for the community to really come together.
